MGt, the largest local employer, became disaffected with what was seen as a stream of pupils seeking jobs, and then not being able to demonstrate the basic commitment needed to hold down a job.
The Business Ready programme between MGt and Kirkcaldy High School aims to prepare pupils to enter work. Initiatives include work-shadowing on MGt sites, job application skills and interview preparation.
