The Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO) project was established by Willowbank School as a means to improve the later school years on offer to young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
So far this year, 129 young people have benefited from this project through supported college placements, high quality work experience and personal and social development activities. The ELO project is an innovative approach for young people who need access to a wider, more relevant curriculum, and require support in overcoming barriers to realising their potential.
This approach from Willowbank helps increase educational achievement, whilst preparing young people for the transition from school to further education, employment or training.
