‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ was Blackburn Primary School’s first theatre production. This type of innovative business enterprise required background knowledge so the pupils visited the ‘Festival Theatre’ for an insight in to how a theatre company runs and the different job roles involved. Each pupil then applied for a post. Classes were responsible for the planning, organising and staging. Each class took on a different role from production of tickets to the responsibility of the box office. Pupils developed their understanding and awareness of marketing, selling, ICT and finance through their various responsibilities. Blackburn has been one of three schools in West Lothian invited to showcase their work at the SECC National Enterprise Conference.
