Better Behaviour and Attendance Award

Castlehead School teachers receive their award from Peter Peacock

Castlehead High School, Renfrewshire

Castlehead Oakshaw Behavioural Support base is a modern open plan base that delivers core and vocational subjects in a flexible and calming atmosphere.  Pupils attend the base for either a matter of weeks on a part time basis or a more permanent extended period.

The strategies adopted at this school to ensure successful results include; tailoring work to specific individuals, rewarding pupils for excellent work and ensuring that all teachers and assistants remain relaxed and flexible.  All of these help to achieve results of better behaviour and attendance in their pupils.
