Design-a-Logo Competition

Design-A-Logo Competition

The challenge was to design a special logo for the 2005 event to represent excellence and success.  Winners in the three age group categories were first selected by Neil Buchanan, who gave us a comment on why he picked each one, the final decision going to First Minister, Jack McConnell MSP.  The winning art work is pictured below.

P4-P7 Overall Winner - Sarah McKay, Dean Park Primary School

"Lots of humour here and some nice ideas.  I particularly like the "clever" lightbulb and the fact that the character is on top of the world - literally!"

S1-S3 Winner - Nikita Dyer, Kinross High School

"Fantastic concept and very clever composition, with a touch of humour.  Superb!"

P1-P3 Winner - Chloe Stedman, St Mark's Primary School

"I love the colour and bold design, which is very effective and yet so simple - but aren't some of the best ideas the simplest!"
