St Stephen's Primary School
Out of a school roll of 214 pupils, there are an astonishing 35 different nationalities at St Stephen's Primary School. School life is enhanced by the way in which pupils accept and embrace each other's customs. A number of schemes, including the "We'ave the World" project saw the pupils creating and then registering their own tartan based on their research of the flags of the different nationalities in the school. This unique tartan celebrates the diversity of the school community. Pupils held a competition to name the tartan before it was manufactured. It was proudly launched at the end of March 2005 and was called "All as One".
