The Scottish Daily Record Award for Probationary Teacher of the Year (in First Year of Teaching)

• Is there a Probationary Teacher in your school, or a school that you know, who stands out?

• Can you describe the qualities that make them a good teacher?

• Can you give examples of how they contribute beyond the classroom to the life of the school?

If the answer is yes, why not nominate them for this award? They must be a probationary teacher in the school session 2007/08.

The winner of this award will go forward as a finalist to the UK-wide National Teaching Awards.

Nominations for the 2008 Education Awards are now closed. Finalists will be contacted in March/April.
